Apple, Blue Cheese and Walnut Salad
Ingredients
Dressing
- 1/2cup vegetable oil
- 6tablespoons sugar
- 2tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1tablespoon finely chopped red onion
- 1/2teaspoon salt
- 1/2teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4to 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
Salad
- 1large bunch romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces (about 10 cups)
- 1bag (6 oz) fresh baby spinach leaves
- 1cup crumbled blue or Gorgonzola cheese (4 oz)
- 1cup walnut halves, toasted
- 2red apples, cut into bite-size pieces
Steps
1 In medium bowl, mix all dressing ingredients with wire whisk until sugar is dissolved (dressing will be thick). Set aside.
2 In very large bowl, mix salad ingredients. Pour dressing over salad; toss to coat. Serve immediately.
